IAO-alumni now licensed osteopaths in Norway

From 1st of May 2022, the Norwegian parliament has decided to regulate osteopathy as a primary healthcare profession.

The Norwegian Directorate of Health created the new healthcare personnel group ‘Osteopath’ and individuals need to apply for authorization and a license before being able to practice as an osteopath in Norway. The Health directorate contacted the IAO in March 2023. In a subsequent meeting our team members could present and elaborate the structure and quality of the IAO/BNU diploma’s. Since then, diplomas of IAO graduates are regularly presented to us for verification and hence they obtain their license.
